LueLue

LueLue is a female boxer who was brought into The Brazos Animal Shelter extremely emaciated and sick. (See a full-body shot here: [link])

She was brought in by two men, who claimed that she wandered onto their property three weeks ago. When we asked them where her puppies were, they said she never had any, an extremely doubtful claim as she was still lactating when she came in.


It has been assumed the men did one of two things with the puppies: sold them or tossed them in a dumpster.


LueLue is a sweet and innocent dog who was neglected and mistreated. She never deserved to be treated this way; nothing deserves to be treated the way she was. She has wounds where her bones have grinded against the concrete and are now infected.

When LueLue was taken to be spayed, her body reacted poorly to the operation, hence her swollen belly which is now filled with pus and mucus. She is receiving extensive medical treatment and is on a special diet to help her regain weight.
